New Property Statistics page
Under the banner of Property Statistics we have launched our yearly property statistic tool, which will replace the current 52-week report. This gives a year-on-year view of the volumes and averages for local authority area dating back to 2003, the first year where all of Scotland was included in the Land Register.
This report will be a map-based online only interactive report dating back nine years as an introduction to the further developed report covering 10 years, which will launch next year
Visitors will see a RoS average price map will be created using Google Maps. The map will focus on Scotland and the 32 local authorities will be highlighted in different colours. Visitors will also be able to click into a specific local authority area for more detail, which will illustrate the current prices and volume of sales for that local authority area. Visitors are also able to search using a specific postcode.
Kenny Crawford, Director, Commercial Services, said: “The new Monthly Property Statistics report shows average property prices and sales volume across Scotland’s cities, which now includes Perth after it received its city status earlier this month. Each month we will highlight key findings in each of the cities. The changes to our website reports are stage one of us developing richer data for our customers.”
The Constituency reports, which used to be published weekly, will now be published on a quarterly basis for ease of comparison.
